HOURS OF OPERATION

Change in Business Hours: Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic our office hours have changed.

Monday: Friday 6 pm to 12 Midnight

Saturday: 12 noon to 8 pm

Sunday: 8 am to 8 pm

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak we will be providing curbsie service and not allowing clients into the building for patient care. We will meet you at your car for intake and convey diagnostic and treatment recommendations over the phone. PLEASE WEAR YOUR MASK. Call 706-850-9888 when you arrive to let us know the number of your parking space.

Please call before you arrive so that we may better serve you. Call the University of Georgia Emergency Service 706-542-3221 if you need assistance after closing. Thank you again for your patience as we face this unprecedented challenge together.

PAYMENT

Payment must be made in full at time of service. We accept Cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and Care Credit. Unfortunately we do not bill.

THE EMERGENCY HOSPITAL IS CLOSING

Dear Valued Clients,

We regret to inform you that the Animal Emergency Hospital will be closing permanently. The last day of operation will be Tuesday August 31, 2021.

The Animal Emergency Hospital was initially formed in 1996 by a dedicated group of local veterinarians and has been serving the Athens Metro Area for over 25 years. Since taking over operation of the facility in 2012, we have strived to provide exceptional care for our clients and patients. The Animal Emergency Hospital has collectively cared for thousands of patients since its inception. We are grateful you trusted us with your beloved family member, and we cherish the relationships we have made along the way.

Due to a persistent national shortage of emergency veterinarians, we have made the extremely difficult decision to close the emergency hospital and will no longer be providing after-hours veterinary care.

Please make arrangements with your primary care veterinarian or an emergency facility near you for after-hours care for your pet. The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine Emergency Service serves the Athens Metro Area and can be reached at 706-542-3221.
